Activities


  • Contact and negotiation of management agreements(1) with landowners and local managers (including hunting managers).
  • Diagnosis of wild rabbit populations and habitat.
  • Increasing wild rabbits` shelter and food resources.
  • Actions for recovery of the Mediterranean vegetation.
  • Creation and maintenance of pastures.
  • Maintenance of wild rabbit’s water and food suppliers.
  • Monitoring of the recovery measures of wild rabbits and habitat.
  • Opinion collection about rural areas management and nature conservation  on a local level.
  • Identification of aspects that need to be improved in the present management of natural resources on a local level and proposal of action guidelines.
  • Production of dissemination and awareness raising materials.
  • Participation in conferences and seminars to disclosure the project’s objectives, methodology and results.

The management agreements frame and discriminate the management measures to be implemented. These measures are elaborated altogether with the landowners/managers, seeking the preservation and improvement of  habitats and natural resources within estates, all this in a perspective of conciliating nature conservation and the human activities developed  at the different locations.
