LPN - Liga para a Protecção da Natureza

LPN is a non-profit, environmental Non-Governmental Organization. It was founded in 1948, with the main goal of contributing to the conservation of natural heritage, species diversity and ecosystems. LPN`s mission is to promote environmental conservation amongst society, in an effort to conciliate social and cultural specificities with the preservation of biodiversity and the sustainable use of natural resources.



 FFI - Fauna & Flora International

FFI is the United Kingdom’s oldest nature conservation institution, known for its actions based on scientific knowledge and for its pioneering work in conservation, offering sustainable solutions which benefit wildlife, mankind and the environment. FFI actions are directed towards the conservation of threatened species and ecosystems worldwide.



CIS/ISCTE-IUL - Centre for Social Research and Intervention  (Centro de Investigação e Intervenção Social)

CIS is a non-profit investigation centre. It develops investigation, intervention based on investigation, and scientific education on psychology, being its main areas social and organizational psychology. Founded in 1989, the centre is recognized by the Foundation for Science and Technology as an Investigation and Development Unit, and has a status of associated Scientific Research Unit of the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), also having close connections to the Department of Social and Organizations Psychology from ISCTE-IUL. The research and intervention conducted by CIS are directed towards the application of theoretical knowledge within the following areas: social exclusion, environment, education, health, media, organizational culture, change within institutions, social change and conflict resolution.



LIFE Programme

LIFE is the European Union’s financial instrument supporting environmental and nature conservation projects throughout the EU, as well as in some candidate, acceding and neighbouring countries. Since 1992, LIFE has co-financed some 2,750 projects, contributing approximately €1.35 billion to the protection of the environment.
